I like 8086 / 8088 equipment because they have a nice classic feel to it... if you want to make an argument about it, you can compute almost anything on a 8086 the only use I find with 64bit hardware for manipulating massive amounts of data fast... I mean how often do you run into numbers this big 18446744073709551616... I think the 80386 is the most balenced... As far as an operating system is concerned you don't get much added benefits favoring 64bits over 32bits...

I am using 32-bit protected mode because IMO it's the only thing practical, especially with multitasking.

I too made the choice to stick to 32-bit :P

I have had nothing but problems with the 64-bit platform and as stated, I and many others wont even notice any difference...
