cause I am running on a backup server which has nothin... all I have it servin is the perma links... Teletran-1 my designated server, well its harddisk was causing problems... it was a Western Digital so it goes to show ya that you can't rely on brand name hardware... they did replace for only the cost of shipping but what about my data ya know??... not that I would complain on that cause the data affected was some illegal videos anyhow... the story goes that I decided to go RAID! I ordered a card from China and it took like 3 weeks to get here... I have it but now I need SATA power cables... Teletran-1 power supply didn't have SATA power plugs... due to Thanksgiving the adapter cables are not due to arrive till Dec 2nd (with luck tomorrow)... it has been an interesting experience but it got me to upgrade Teletran-1 to run on RAID and with faster SATA harddisks... I am also thinking of giving it UPS power support... |
