Post Another Project
Hello Community:

I own a few servers in a data center, and I have been tossing the idea around for a few days now, I am thinking about offering small hosting plans to the community here free of charge (well, a google-ad [or you can donate me like $1/month to remove it]). If anyone is interested in this, PM me or respond here to let me know. I will be happy to provide a sub-domain within my zone (pushesp.com). The only restriction is porn (not allowed), otherwise I really don't care what you put on there. Everyone would be quota'd and depending on how many people want to do it, I will decide on the quota size (no less than 100 MB, and no more than 500MB prolly so I can continue to support people). There is no bandwidth restriction (I pay for a dedicated 10Mbps line, so it's really hard to max it out). Most-likely I'll give out 1 MySQL database to each user.

So yea, post or PM if you are interested, and I will check back in the middle of next week and decide what I am going to do.

~Timko

That might be cool, but why would they want that as opposed to sf.net or google code? I can see maybe having more control of the website perhaps.

How goes the IMAP email stuff on the server? Got it running?

Mostly so you have more control over services you want to install. (i.e.Media Wiki or Joomla!).

As for the IMAP it's coming along...slowly. I am trying to make sure that TLS is setup correctly. The design that I want to use doesn't really have any tutorials. These past 3 weeks I have had midterm exams, which had taken time away from getting it working perfectly.
